Should schools give homework to kids who have after school jobs?
I think that if the kid clearly has plenty of work to do after school there should be some kind of deal with the teachers not to have homework. You should have proof that you are working to show the teachers so you wouldn't be able to cheat the system. What do you guys think about this?

They did some research on this topic and they were thinking over cutting hours that kids could work after school
ReplyDeleteI think if they give students who work less homework they should give students who are in sports less homework. I don't think they should give kids less homework though because it's not fair to the students who don't work to get more homework. If you do give the students less homework they aren't getting as much out of the lesson so I think they should get the same amount as everyone else. If it's too much for a student to have a job and go to school then they should quit their job because they can work the rest of their life!
ReplyDeleteI think that teachers should either give everyone homework or no one homework. It wouldn't be fair to those kids that don't have an official job to get homework and then those kids that have a job just don't have to do it. Think about all those people that live on a farm or in just a normal household. Even though they might not have proof of a job, they might do work around their house or on the farm. Life is all about balancing our school, social, and work lives, so whether we have other things going on or not should not affect who gets homework. In my opinion either everyone should get the homework or no one should.
ReplyDeleteI personally think homework should be banned, not just because it is no fun to do, but because of having a job, and we do enough work at school we shouldn't have to do more at home. I mean i work at a grain elevator and September-October are the 2 biggest months of the year for an elevator which is the time I'm in school. There are times i leave school go to work, and work until 10 O'clock by the time i get home I'm whipped and have no energy to do anything let alone do homework. That's why my opinion of homework because i have other things to do after school then to just do homework, let alone when hunting season kicks in.
ReplyDeleteOK, with working after school though it's almost like an extra curricular like sports or Jacket Company or Club Show. You have to take on that responsibility of having more things to do other than school work. School just prepares you for what your life will be in the future, and you will never only have one thing to do in your life. Life is full of unexpected things and its busy. School with extra curricular things like an after school job is just part of life. Yes it stinks because you don't have as much time to do homework but it will all just prepare you for the future
